DAY 1 Arrive and head to the verdant hills of the Turrialba Valley. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon to relax on your own.

DAY 2 Raft our favorite river - the Pacuare. Outside Magazine named it the fifth most scenic whitewater river in the world and deservedly so. Think waterfalls, lush vegetated canyons, toucans overhead. It's pretty much a class III-IV ride. Late afternoon drive to Arenal Volcano Area.

DAY 3 Hike the rainforest covered slopes of the Arenal Volcano National Park - Hear, see, and feel the red-hot lava and smoking rocks tumbling down the side of the volcano. Free afternoon to take advantage of on site spa and hotsprings.

DAY 4 Morning Horseback riding to Canopy Tour Reserve. Glide along zip lines high above the trees for a different perspective on the rainforest. Hike to the refreshing waters of the 120 foot Fortuna Waterfall before heading back to the Central Valley for the afternoon. Enjoy the rest of the evening on your own at a romantic inn.

DAY 5 – 7 On your own at the destination of your choice.

DAY 8 Fly back to San Jose, shuttle to the international airport and depart content with a vacation well spent.
